Flood Recovery and Infrastructure Resilience

The September 13, 2026, flash flooding that brought 5-6 inches of rain in three hours has intensified Westport community discussion about infrastructure vulnerability and climate resilience. Downtown Westport, identified in municipal hazard mitigation reports as highly vulnerable to severe flooding, flooded again despite previous improvements.
