School Capital Projects - $19 Million in Improvements

The Westport school board is advancing a portfolio of 24 capital projects totaling approximately $19 million across district facilities. The work was largely identified through a major building envelope study commissioned by the district. Projects focus on mechanical systems including air handling units, cooling tower replacements, roof and exhaust fan repairs, and other infrastructure improvements. The lion's share are maintenance items that keep buildings functioning properly. Saugatuck School cooling tower replacement is among planned projects; new units will be quieter. These projects will be presented to town funding bodies for approval and incorporation into the capital plan.
